Recently, COVID-19 still spread out continuously, so wearing masks and using Antigen Test Kit which count as infectious wastes are increasing more and more and it will make things worse if we dispose them in the wrong way. To dispose them, we need to sort out and store them in cover-up before transport to dispose. All we need to do is sort the infectious out from other solid wastes. If we throw them in the same container, it will all become the infectious wastes and we will increase quantity of it unconsciously.
We could sort them out 2 parts
1.noninfectious part; the package of the test kit (box), manuscript. For these sorts of wastes, we could dispose them as general solid wastes.
2.infectious part; cotton swabs, result display, liquid tube. After used, put them in plastic bag and write on it that “infectious wastes” and drop it in red bin which got infectious wastes sign on it.
Transportation and disposure in a correct way are also important. For disposure vehicle, it needs to be specifically designed :
- cover on, be lined with endurance material
- stick infectious wastes sign with stand out “infectious wastes only” red text on body of vehicle
- preserver for drivers
- clean the vehicle at least once a week
